Virtual Assistant ServicesMy story of how I came to become a Virtual Assistant actually starts back in 2010 when I realised that my entire Secretarial and PA career had been working with remote users – so why couldn’t I do this myself from home?!  2010 was definitely not the time for me to take the leap, I was young and had a lot to learn.  Instead I made the decision to quit my role at the time and found a new job where I could grow and reach my potential.

Fast-forward to 2016

After having my daughter at the beginning of 2016 I realised I didn’t want the normal 9-5 job anymore.  My daughter really surprised me on my outlook on life and what I now wanted and expected out of life.  I love my job and helping to support people to meet their goals and building relationships.  However, now I had the added love of wanting to spend as much time with my daughter as possible but maintaining the whole work/life balance that we all crave.

Whilst on maternity leave I started researching, finding anything I could on transitioning from PA to VA.  I was a great PA and Secretary but what did I know about running a business and selling myself?!  I finally launched my business towards the end of September 2016.  I’ve learnt a lot along the way and there is still so much to learn, but I have loved the journey so far and the amazing people I have met along the way.  I cannot wait to see what the future will bring!

So that’s the brief story of why I become a VA but what is my background?

I am a qualified and experienced Senior PA and have worked for both a small family run business, up to a large international organisation.  I studied a Secretarial Diploma at college after my tutor commented on how well organised and proactive I was in my other studies.

During my 13 year’s experience, I have worked for a fraud department, a motor vehicle assessors, a personal injury claims department, a medical sales environment, sales and marketing for microscopy, industrial, aerospace, defence and security markets, and more recently I’ve started working with businesses in the fitness and educational industries.

I love learning new skills and enhancing my existing skills so am looking forward to the opportunities that will come in the future!
